When we don’t see a person physically in front of us for a long time, the situation becomes saddening. After the emerging technology of video conferencing, one could, at least, talk to their dearest persons. It made us more emotional and touchy as well, though we couldn’t feel the person’s physical appearance. Now, this is going to be history through the Project Starline developed by Google.
Google announced that they are working on a project, known as “Project Starline” which will allow users to have video conferencing more physically attached.
With the help of this technique, one can feel the person’s physical appearance right in front of them. One will feel like the opposite person is just there in front of you. The picture is so clear that you want to touch them and hug them, though that is impossible.

Google Announced Project Starline with Many Other Updates.
At the Google I/O event, they announced many features including Project Starline. The event was streamed between 18 – 20th May. It was full of updates on some new features.
The event includes the updates of Android 12, Google Maps, Google Photos, Google Health, Google Shop, and many more.
There was a deficiency over any video conferencing app to meet the people just like the person sitting in front of you. Using 3D Imaging, Real-time Compression, and 3D display, this technology is going to be a revolutionary approach towards technological advancements.
What you don’t get with Google Meet or Skype or any video conferencing apps, you will get it with the Starline.
To make this experience possible, we are applying research in computer vision, machine learning, spatial audio, and real-time compression. We’ve also developed a breakthrough light field display system that creates a sense of volume and depth that can be experienced without the need for additional glasses or headsets.
Though Project Starline is not available globally to everyone except a few offices of Google, it is expected that the trial will be started with enterprise partners later this year.
This project is still in the testing process.
Now you know, you can make video and voice calls through the WhatsApp desktop app too.
