Again desperation from the gamers’ side. I shared a blog on the most anticipated Hotfix 1.2 patch file. But now it seems that the gamers have to wait for a few days again.
The Polish gaming company has already been criticized for the bugs they have faced with. They have already delayed some of the announcements many times previously because of these bug issues.
The sales have been down for a few months because of this issue. Again, the same thing; but this time it’s a cyber-attack that causes their most anticipated release of the 1.2 patch file. They also promised free DLC which was delayed due to these patch fixes.
On their tweeter account, they said,
While we dearly wanted to deliver Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 in the timespan we detailed previously, the recent cyber-attack on the studio’s IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update mean this, unfortunately, will not happen — we’ll need some additional time.
Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get. With that in mind, we’re now aiming for release in the second half of March. 2/3— Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) February 24, 2021
They shared 3 back to back posts about the issue. They went on to add, “Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get. With that in mind, we’re now aiming for release in the second half of March.”
In the next post, they shared their desperation, “It’s not the news we enjoy sharing, but we want to make sure we launch this update properly. Stay tuned for more information as the time draws closer. Thank you for your continued patience and support.”
After the launching of Cyberpunk 2077, the game was confronted with bugs and glitches most of the time and with that, the company CD Projekt Red promised to solve the issue every time.
Earlier this month, the gaming company was hit by a major cyber-attack that was collecting source code. Though they didn’t pay any ransom, the threat actor has all the inevitable documents such as accounting, administration, legal, HR, investor relations, and more.
In this situation, it is time to see if the Hotfix 1.2 patch comes according to their promised time or gets delayed again with another issue.
