1. Upgrade through Windows updates

If there is a version or feature upgrade available for your PC, it will be made available to Windows updates. So the first and foremost you should be checking Windows 10 updates section to go for the next version upgrade.

  • Go to Windows Start Menu  > Settings > Update & Security

If you haven’t selected the feature update option from optional updates, you will see the next version upgrade notification right there.
If you see that, go with Download and install.

To install the next feature update automatically, you need to select “Feature update to Windows 10″ from Optional updates.

2. Windows 10 update assistant

In case you don’t receive any feature update through Windows 10 updates, and you know that Microsoft has released a new version update that you want to go with, you could use Windows 10 update assistant to fetch the next version update.

Download Windows 10 update assistant from its official site here.

  • Open the downloaded Windows 10 update assistant
  • Allow the “User account control” prompt
  • Click on Update Now
  • It will check if the hardware is compatible, and the PC has enough space, click Next
  • Now it’s downloading the required files to perform the feature update, once complete, the installation will start

Once the installation is done, you will have the latest version of Windows 10 installed.
